This video project represents another creative outcome inspired by pin-up girls. Instead of featuring the female figure or body, as seen in the "Gravure Idols" series, I had male figures assume the same poses that are typically associated with those girls. I found it intriguing that presenting the male body in pin-up girl poses while in a state of undress created an image that felt unconventional and thought-provoking, especially when contrasted with the commonly accepted nude female figure in pin-up art.
In the video, all the elements featured are either typically associated with positive imagery, such as cakes, stars, the sky, and flowers, or elements considered unfavorable, such as raw meat, self-moving fingers, knives, and hair that moves on its own. The rapid transitions between these scenes create a sense of confusion for the audience, leaving them unsure whether to feel tranquil or disturbed.
All the dialogues in the video are delivered using Siri's female voice, which deliberately contrasts with the male figures presented. The voice has an electronic quality, while all the faces in the video maintain a realistic appearance. These dialogues are drawn from controversial remarks made by Japanese politicians, such as the statement, "Old women who live after they have lost their reproductive function are useless and are committing a sin."
